2019 Finalist Best Bathroom for Westchester Home Magazine's Design Awards
AIRY MASTER BATH, Larchmont, NY: The master bath in this 1920s Tudor home is wrapped with honed Dolomite tiles; the flooring is a marble mosaic with a gray/blue and white pattern. The overall look and feel is an example of a design concept I call “Timeless Antiquity” -the real Marble mosaic tile, the gray/mist/white colors, the hardware that looks as if it could be from a rare find, the slight curve of the custom vanity legs are all details directed by this connection to the past making each choice relevant to the whole. The design takes advantage of the available peaked roof; a raised tray ceiling provides an airy feeling to the room. The unifying design element is the simplicity and elegance of layers of white.
